Pop-Up Native Plant Sale

Our beautiful native gardens around the church were made possible by the hard work of volunteers and by grants from our local Red Cedar Chapter (Lansing area) of Wild Ones and Michigan Audubon.

The Wild Ones Red Cedar Chapter is hosting a pop-up native plant sale in conjunction with their 20th anniversary celebration held at our church. Stop by the parking lot to shop for your own native plants to bring home. Go Grow Plant Natives will be selling trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and sedges. Michigan Woodland Wildflowers & Ferns will be selling plants for shady spots including bloodroot, wild geranium, wild ginger, Solomon’s seal, Jack-in-the-pulpit, red and white baneberry, and Jacob’s ladder. Ferns include sensitive, Goldie’s, lady, cinnamon, bulblet, and maidenhair.

Fall is a great time to get plants established so they will take off in the spring. Wild Ones is a non-profit organization that promotes native plants in the landscape in order to help the environment. You don’t need a lot of land to make a difference. By planting more native plants, you will invite more pollinators into your yard.
