Chalice Circle

A Chalice Circle is a small group of people (including two trained facilitators) who gather regularly in a safe setting to speak from our lives and experiences. In Unitarian Universalism, we recognize that each person has learned some share of truth, and each has gained some hard-won wisdom. Chalice Circles offer a safe setting in which to speak from our experiences with the expectation that our words will be heard without criticism. Through the spiritual practices of deep listening, authentic sharing, and respectful silence, Chalice Circles affirm and promote our third UU principle, acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth.

The focus is to build deep connections with other members of our community, to deepen oneself through deliberate reflection and intentional listening, and to engage in a spiritual practice. In short, this is a school for the soul.

Our next Chalice Circle will meet for seven sessions with facilitators Patty Degnan and Marge Weldon, about every other Tuesday afternoon in the Parlor (10/4, 10/18, 11/1, 11/15, 11/29, 12/13, 1/3). Some topics of discussion will be chosen by group members.

Register here to join us! The group will be limited to eight participants.
