Auction 2023: Building Creative Community

Our annual auction brings joy to our church community in multiple ways. It is the largest fundraiser of the year, benefiting our operating budget. It is also one of our largest FUNraisers of the year, bringing us communal joy through shared meals, parties, learning experiences, themed gift baskets, talents, skills, and fresh flowers and fresh-baked cookie platters offered exclusively on Sunday, May 14.

Many fantastic donations have been received, including social activities both indoors and outdoors, edible delights, handmade art and craft items, gift certificates, and others. You can view the catalog, place bids, and sign up here on our Auctria site through Saturday, May 13 at noon. If you need assistance, email auction.uucgl@gmail.com.

In-person bidding/sign-up will conclude on Sunday, May 14 (before and after the worship service; bidding will close at 12:30 p.m. If you are taking an item home that you won by bidding or sign-up, please check in at the Information Table before leaving.

Sign-up: You sign up and pay a set price. Quantities can vary from item to item, so be sure to choose how many you want to purchase.

Bidding: A minimum bid is listed, bids are raised in set increments, and the highest bidder at the end of the auction wins the item. For some items, a buy-it-now (BIN) is listed. If you list your bidder number at the pre-set BIN price, you will win the item immediately.

Winning Bids: Some items will be available to take home on May 14; those winners will be notified prior to May 14. Successful bidders on other items will be notified by email as soon as possible at the end of the auction. Some items are available for pickup at the church, while others can be picked up by mutual arrangement between donor and buyer.

Payments: Invoice statements will be sent by email to winning bidders the week after May 14. Payments can be made at the Information Table, on our church website, or by mailing a check made out to UU Lansing (5509 South Pennsylvania Ave, Lansing, MI 48911). Payments can also be made by cash or check at the Information Table on Sunday. No payments are made on Auctria.
