All are welcome to join us for music-filled worship at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday morning. Our worship services involve congregational singing and special music from soloists and small groups in a wide variety of genres. We enjoy an eclectic mix of diverse musical styles including Classical, ancient music, gospel, rock, folk, jazz, world music, or even the songs of whales. We come together to share new musical experiences as well as old favorites.
Our musical groups and soloists participate in worship on various Sundays throughout the year, and some also organize outside gigs or get together just for private jam sessions. Our four main musical groups are the mixed-voice Chalice Choir, Muusika (empowering the feminine) for soprano and alto voices, Folk Band, and Jazz Combo.
Our Music Committee, made up of musicians and non-musician congregants, supports the music director, advocates for the music program, and collaborates with the music director, minister, and church leadership to enhance and develop the music ministry of the church as it deepens and enriches congregational life. To become involved with the Music Program, contact L. Harrison Brown, Director of Music.
