Accessibility of Building and Programs
We have taken the following steps to include all who enter our sacred space into full participation in the life of our church. If you or a loved one has an accessibility need at church that has not been met, please contact us.
Transportation to Church
Our building has a sufficiently sized parking lot and bicycle racks. Our property can be accessed from the South Lansing Pathway for pedestrians and cyclists, and there is a CATA bus stop in front of the church.
Our indoor meeting spaces are fully accessible.
Each area of the church features wheelchair accessible stalls or restrooms, gender neutral restrooms, and baby changing stations.
Breastfeeding is welcomed in any area of the church. Children and infants are welcome to attend all worship services, and some noises and movements are expected. Our Sanctuary has a cry room available to infants and caregivers who would be more comfortable there.
While most church activities are free and family-friendly, we offer some classes and activities for a fee, and some activities are for adults only. We provide full scholarships and childcare upon request for all Adult Religious Education classes and workshops. Further assistance is available for church members in financial distress.
Large print hymnals and Orders of Service are always available. We also have a braille hymnal. Please ask any usher for assistance.
We have hearing loop technology connected to our PA systems in the Sanctuary and the Augusta Jane Chapin Room.
We use odorless candles, and we try to minimize potentially harmful chemicals in our cleaning products. Our building is well ventilated, and no smoking is allowed on our property.
Special Needs Children
Our Religious Education programs are designed to be positive experiences for all children. Our registration forms help us gather information about special needs, allergies, and anything else we may need to know about your child to offer a rewarding and safe learning environment. Please contact the Director of Religious Education if you have any questions.
We allow working service animals to accompany their owners to church.
